# FAQs – USB-C PD3.0 Power Cable

**1) What if there's no power or rebooting on the dashcam after USB-C PD 3.0 cable installation?**

**Ans 1**: The dashcam's latest firmware update may be required to ensure full compatibility.

**Ans 2**: The dashcam rebooting issue may occur if users apply a multi-adapter with the type-C cable.

**2) What's the benefit if I buy the USB-C PD 3.0 power cable?**

**Ans**: If you buy a new car without a cigarette socket from 2024, the cable will be useful for users whose cars have only a USB-C port.

**3) How can I identify if my car supports power delivery 3.0 with a USB-C port?**

**Ans**: Look for the lightning symbol trademark near the port.

**4) What should I do if my car does not support power delivery 3.0 with a USB-C port?**

**Ans**: Users will need to prepare an type-C adapter that supports PD 3.0.

**5) Will the max. output change if I use an type-C adapter with the cable?**

**Ans**: Absolutely. The max output will be 5V if you use an type-C adapter with the cable.

**6) May I use the cable with dashcam from other brands?**

**Ans**: No. The power cable is designed for BlackVue devices only, and we cannot guarantee there won't be other risks due to different voltage considerations.

**7) What if the length of the type-C adapter from some manufacturers does not match the size of the BlackVue cigarette port's battery pack (B-130X)?**

**Ans**: It will cause the battery pack to be unrecognized. Please ensure the actual size of the cigarette port on the battery pack (B-130X) matches before purchasing the extra adapter.
